Excitement here, for sure. This is my very first blog hop ever and it’s taken me some 66 years to get here, yeah go Barb. I do hope you will follow along to all the girls and leave a little comment, like me they are all super excited to be doing this. I like that it has synergised the team, they are all bursting at the seams to show you their work. I must admit I cannot wait to see their cards either.
This is the sketch that Teneale {our upline and my youngest daughter} had created for us to use as INKspiration for our cards. I am delighted that she has kept it simple as is normally has layers on layers and I am much more simple in my designing.
A little bit of funny story about creating this card:
Been so busy working on my card in between having all the family in for dinner, everyone compliment me on their meal…………..
then when I was in the kitchen tidying up, John {My husband} said “how come I didn’t get any mashed Potato” He knew of the potato for he is the master of the mash and he was called to the kitchen to prepare it. Then my youngest Teneale entered the kitchen and saw all the remaining potato in the pot and asked why she missed out? Clearly my mind was on my card and not about the family dinner. Well I know I had been more concerned with this card I was trying to make, thus when the plates looked full I served them, my grand daughters and their mum had not missed out as Terrianne dished up their meal. For for me I regretted ask everyone over for family dinner as all I wanted to do was work on my card, and I think it showed. #BadMumMoment
Here it is! Can you see a resemblance in my card, I felt by using the tail of the Fox, would be the covered by having him off the page.
My Grand daughter Ebony {who is only 4} had decided that she was going to stamp with me and as we sat down I asked her if she had her colouring pencils which she went off and collected. However when she saw I intended to use a blender pen, she said, “Granma, please pass me mine”……………lol I was a little shocked she even know what it was they I found out she uses them with Aunty Teneale! While Ebony and I coloured the afternoon away, “Aunty Teneale” worked away creating a new look blog , as her mum I adore everything she creates but I REALLY LOVE my new blog with the poppies and chalkboard look she has created. Thank you so MUCH Teneale.
