Fox on the run

SONY DSC

Yet another Life in the Forest card.  This was the second card we made in class on Friday, such a cute little card.  Whilst I gave the ladies a simple version, I was amazed at how they all put their own cards together, I couldn’t say its a quick card, it took them 2 hours, there was quietness in the room as they all concentrated on their stamping cutting, piecing and colouring.  Opps forgot making their own grass, some ladies just decided that they liked ripping better and sponging the grass.

They did however ask why they couldn’t have used the Tree PUNCH instead of cutting.  giggle giggle.

Below are the items I used, should you want to purchase the stamps and if you need any other items, you can click on it and it will take you right to my shop where you can purchase your items. Thanks for looking and have fun Stamping.

Feathers Anyone?

SONY DSC

Last week we had a very cute fox this week I have chosen the feathers, They are so very elegant and I had seen then used in lots of different ways. One I loved was by Teneale Williams and another one, which is the one I have cased here, was by Crafty Clare.

I have followed Clare, who is really in fact Vicky for a few years and always love her simplistic approach to card making and I am always excited to see what she has come up with now.

Today was no exception, when I laid eyes on her version of the feathers, I knew I want to share this will my ladies.

I simply used gold embossing to do the feathers.   I hope you enjoy then and don’t forget to pop over the Clare/Vicki’s Blog.

Here is a list of supplies used. I have an online shop and would love to have you visit to shop.  Please note that if you buy the bundle of the stamp set and the frames you say 15%.

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 1- Hello Foxy

Excitement here, for sure. This is my very first blog hop ever and it’s taken me some 66 years to get here, yeah go Barb. I do hope you will follow along to all the girls and leave a little comment, like me they are all super excited to be doing this. I like that it has synergised the team, they are all bursting at the seams to show you their work. I must admit I cannot wait to see their cards either.

This is the sketch that Teneale {our upline and my youngest daughter} had created for us to use as INKspiration for our cards. I am delighted that she has kept it simple as is normally has layers on layers and I am much more simple in my designing.

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop #001

A little bit of  funny story about creating this card:

Been so busy working on my card in between having all the family in for dinner, everyone compliment me on their meal…………..

then when I was in the kitchen tidying up, John {My husband} said “how come I didn’t get any mashed Potato”  He knew of the potato for he is the master of the mash and he was called to the kitchen to prepare it. Then my youngest Teneale entered the kitchen and saw all the remaining potato in the pot and asked why she missed out?  Clearly my mind was on my card and not about the family dinner. Well I know I had been more concerned with this card I was trying to make, thus when the plates looked full I served them, my  grand daughters and their mum had not missed out as Terrianne dished up their meal.  For for me I regretted ask everyone over for family dinner as all I wanted to do was work on my card, and I think it showed. #BadMumMoment

Here it is! Can you see a resemblance in my card, I felt by using the tail of the Fox, would be the covered by having him off the page.

My Grand daughter Ebony {who is only 4} had decided that she was going to stamp with me and as we sat down I asked her if she had her colouring pencils which she went off and collected. However when she saw I intended to use a blender pen, she said, “Granma, please pass me mine”……………lol  I was a little shocked she even know what it was they I found out she uses them with Aunty Teneale!  While Ebony and I coloured the afternoon away, “Aunty Teneale” worked away creating a new look blog , as her mum I adore everything she creates but I REALLY  LOVE my new blog with the poppies and chalkboard look she has created. Thank you so MUCH Teneale.

Bloom with Hope

Thinking of you bleaching

This was the second card we made in class a few weeks ago hi-lightening the Bleaching effect.  We used the Bloom with Hope stamp set.  Its one of the Hostess sets on page 240 of the Main Catalogue.   Embossed our image with Black embossing powder and then using a fine paint brush to paint each petal.

Blended Bloom thinking of you

Bleaching

I remembered years ago enjoying bleaching, at that time we used Stippled Rose (yep still in my keeping box).

This time I used for this project the Stamp set called Blended Bloom.  I originally used Blackberry Bliss, not completely happy with my bleaching, however when others saw it love it, so will put myself to work doing another one.

Kinda Koala Birthday

Koala Card

I have to admit, I am in love with this Happy Birthday Stamp, its large bold and so easy to use when wanting to create a quick card.  the other stamp set I used was the Kinda Koala.  It’s a single stamp set, that says thinking of you, whilst that is cute, didn’t really fit what I wanted to achieve.

I wanted a simple card for a young child, so we used our markers to colour and make it look a little furry, like our Koala would look like.  I then fussy cut him out and mounted on my card, adding a couple of balloons.

Thanks for dropping by.
