INKspired Artist Bloghop 45

Welcome to the Blog Hop 45 of the INKspired Artists, how exciting many of us have just returned from the Stampin up on Stage event in Brisbane.  Its one of the most exciting events of the year and can you believe I didn’t book on the first day to go and then had to be on a waiting list, even though I had booked my accommodation in Feb 2016, how crazy am I.

Lots of exciting thing coming your way, your just going to love the new Catalogue due on either the 3rd or 4 Feb 2017.  How mad is that?

Even more exciting is the fact that I am now sandwiched between two Stampin’ Up! Artisans, that’s not mad, that’s wild.  Louise Sharpe is the Australian Artisan, lets give a big cheer to her.

Lets go see what Teneale has given us to work with this week.bloghop-45When I looked at the sketch I immediately thought of the beautiful papers what are going to be available in the new year and as I had been asked to make a Anniversary card this fitted the bill.

mum-45-blog-hopFalling in Love, just makes you think of beautiful laces, pastel shades and hints of pinks.  I have used the Designer Series paper called, Falling in Love with the Falling in Love Embellishments and the So Detailed Thinlits Dies.

Can you see the beautiful details of the die, so delicate, and the gorgeous Embellishments.  I took advantage of the embellishment along with the two  flowers in the die to be the three points of focus on my card.

mum-45-blog-hop-top

I used the Sugarplum and Very Vanilla cardstock and Sahara Sand as the soft layer behind papers and then mounted them onto the cardbase.

mum-45-blog-hop-inside

The set has some lovely sentiments and I chose to use “a day to celebrate”  for the inside.  Hope you enjoy a slight glimpse of what’s coming next year to a place near you.

Now you off to see what Teneale has made for you, I just now your going to love it.

Here is the sketch that we had to work with, designed by Teneale Williams, I  was excited to use it was I had done a water-colour class this week and wanted to try it out for myself.  Don’t you just love learning something new?  Yes even at my great old age…………..lol.

bloghop-44Here’s what I made and I love it, its was so relaxing to do.

Barbara Williams Water ColourI use the Penned and Painted Stamp Set on shimmer White Cardstock, using white embossing power to stamp down the flowers and leaves, one at a time.  Have you found how when using versa mark on white, it’s rather hard to see where you have stamped.

Here is a closer look at just how it looks, where you can see the beautiful details.

Barbara Williams Detail shot

I choose to use some of the softer colours of Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz, sponging over each of the area’s with a sponge. after I had sprayed it lightly with water.  Next I used the aqua marker to highlight the flowers, you can make these as light or as dark as you want.

Your now off to see what Teneale has made for you.  Don’t forget to leave some comments for the girls, we all love comments.

INKspired Blog Hop 43

Well here we are again, Blog Hop 43 and racing towards Christmas Celebrations.  You might have come from Louise page, if so welcome, if your starting here then don’t forget to hop around each of the blogs and explore what they have made for you.

blog-hop-43I had played around with some ideas on using the little mouse set, yes I bet you love it also.  My eyesight isn’t what it used to be so sometimes its worse then other times and after trying some water colouring that didn’t work for me.  I might add I was trying to hold a magnifying glass in one and colour with the other.

I gave this up and decided that this sketch would work for a age birthday and I had just the right little girl to receive a age card.

Bloghop 42|stampingbarb|Barbara WilliamsSo guess who is turning 7?  Yes is my youngest grand daughter, I am finding it hard to see where the years have gone.  We are having family dinner for her on Wednesday and the theme is the Festive.

Thanks for stopping bye, now off to see what Teneale has created for you.

bloghop-42

I must have, no I did sit for hours going through the catalogue trying to find a stamp set that would fit the sketch, it need to be a shape and then a sentiment to the side.  Well that’s what I thought anyway, lets see if I got it right.

mum-october-2

Looks ok, yeap got the circle and the words to the side.  but hey wait, does it look right?  Lets go look at the whole card, will we.

Bloghop 42

Well I think it might have fallen over, see the top is the side with the paper, yet the shape and sentiment are the right way.  Oh well, lovely card anyway.

Hope you enjoy it.

Now your off to see what another young talented stamper is upto.  Renee’

INKspired Blog Hop 41

Welcome to the INKSpired Artists Blog Hop 41, I am always delighted to participate in these hops as they make me do a little bit of creativeness without thinking big picture.  Like a class card.

If your come from another INKspired Artist it would have been the very talented Louise who I know you all love.  Now let’s go see the sketch which is designed by Teneale and this week is nice quick sketch, that’s if you don’t watercolour it.

INKspired Bloghop 41

The card was to have a sentiment across the bottom of the card…………..boring, I decided to mice mine up a little.  Story to this stamp set, one of my customers who does her shopping online in my shop, somehow got excited when shopping and ordered two off every set she wanted………………….she rang me to ask if I could help.   Thus I bought the Mice from her and some of my other customers bought the extra sets………………how mice are my ladies………….(haha get it, really nice)

card-41

Using the smaller set of three Mice, I stamped them on Water color paper using Archival Black Ink.  The using a blender pen colored them in.  As the were all carrying different little decorations and parcels, I thought the sentiment, ‘Its time to deck the Halls! was very fitting, don’t you?

Let’s go look at the finished card, where I have embossed the base of the card with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder, then sponged around it with Mint Macaroon.

card-sront-mum

I used a mixture of Cherry Cobbler and Real Red, Emerald Green, a little Curry Crush, then gave my little mice a touch of Crumb Cake.  I used the beautiful new Copper Embossing Powder for the sentiment, love how it pops and the extra stripe is the Copper Foil.

Now let’s go see what Teneale has made for you.
